This is where Interstate 15 crosses Lake Hodges, south of Escondido, California.

The location of the lake, and the surrounding mountains, makes the bridge the only way into the city of San Diego on the inland route.

At this time of year there is still water under the bridge, but later in the summer, this end of the lake will most likely be dry, and covered in reeds and grass.

A portrait oriented panoramic, taken using the X-Pro1 & 35mm Lens and Induro pan head.

Exposure set for brighter areas outside of the bridge, and then PP in NIK Silver FX

Very nice, Chris. I like how the light getting in between the two bridges casts a line on the water very much like a roadway lane marker just to the left in the panorama. I think #2 is a more powerful image, though.

Good to see you're still enjoying the X1 Pro Chris but I bet you don't burn the same amount of calories as you did lugging your SLR and lenses about though. Maybe it is just me but I find the way the pillars in the first image are spaced give the image loads of depth. I think they really make the image work.

Wow! Wow and more wow to that second one!
I like that on VERY much chris.

Thanks Brian - thinking of going back at high noon to see if I can get that line of sunlight down the middle of the frame.

Thanks Paul - I was loving the lighter weight of the camera/lenses and tripod on this trip - temps were in the 80s, and the trail out to the lake was hot and dusty.

Chris the first would sit nicely on many an office wall, love the tones and composition, the second is special too great location and use of it..:)

Thanks Kev - I'm really loving the power of the panoramic in unusual locations

Both are wonderful. I hope you get back there later in the year when the water has dried up. It would be good to companion shots together. Come to think of it, Chris, why don't you have a website for your photography?

Thanks Rob :)

Both fabulous shots Chris but No 2 is my favourite. I think Brian's comments are spot-on. This combination (X-Pro / SilverFix) is really working well and you're carving out a real style here I think. Are you conscious of this? Any ideas what the main driver is?

Many thanks Pete - I'm only semi conscious at the best of times! :D

Just seeing this as a natural development based on available tools, opportunities, and lots of practice.
