Vapor Trail Above L.A.

lol. That bottle of beer came up a treat. It initially to me looked as though it may have been more in the shade than the range would allow. And I thought..."Holy Mother of God! - Whats that bad man doin'?" Whats happening here? What's happening!!!??. But it appears I overreacted.
I like it.

Love the angles Brian - did you look up because of the plane noise, or were you eyeing up the oversize beer?

Amazed at the exposure latitude of the film - given that you have the sun in frame, and still have detail in the shade areas

Not tried any Kodak C41 B&W film - is it still in production?

Thanks very much, Chris.

I didnae hear a plane; and this may come as a surprise (even to me:o) but I wisnae checking oot the beer either. In fact I was just gazing up generally at the buildings and looking for fotie ops and then I sees this vapor trail.

I had no idea what the image would be like, but I was pleased when I saw it. (I snapped two. The other I took with the sun just out of frame. Its not as nice, though.)

Kodak still makes the BW400CN which is the modern version of the film I took this image with. The stuff I shot this image with expired in 2003. I had it processed at Costco. (Negs only.) However, I wrote on the envelope "Negatives only" and they didn't understand. When I clarified that I wanted "processing only", they understood. They didn't know what the negatives were!

Excellent Brian. Very 50s sci-fi look to it. Although I'm relieved it's not another of those UFO jobbies you get down your way so often or even a fireball.
I haven't seen any celestial fireballs in while, Pete, and it surprises me some because we were getting them in swarms for a while. I'll have to keep a lookout; could be I'm just not noticing them any more.

It does look 50's sci-fi don't it, Pete? It actually reminds me of an episode of the Twilight Zone I saw many years ago. The story line was that the Earth had gone off its orbit and was traveling toward the Sun. Every one was sweltering in the blazing heat which was increasing daily and there was no relief.

Thanks again, Pete.
