Critique Required Victorian Home Time

I like it and immediately wondered if you used you M7 and Cinestill film to get this image? What did come to mind though was that the woman looked more like someone in islamic dress rather than Victorian? Although I do like this I really like some of your other images in the same Flickr set. I feel they are much more cinematic and this seems to give them an extra special quality. I think the combo of this camera, lens and film is something that really gels with the way you take photographs.

Edit
Actually now I look at it some more I prefer it now other the others and think that the people give it much more of an implied narative and that it is the most cinematic. This makes the photo work on another level.

Thanks Paul, I really like this film, the m7 I like anyway, and depending on the scene the two lenses (Summarit and cv nocton) give a different feel to the images with this film.
This one was taken with the Summarit which is basically soft, glowy and sort of muddy warm in tone when shot wide, for this image I was really chuffed how it turned out... Just gives it that extra but of mystery.
Some of the others were shot with the cv which is a lot sharper and more modern looking when wide.

Nice shot Hamish. It feels cinematic. Which film camera did you use to take this shot?

Thanks Aldous, it's Cinestill t800 film

Is it a close up of a model scene?

It's real, it was taken at the black county museum

That makes sense as I think what drew me initially to favour a couple of the other images in the Flickr set was the colours, they had more impact. Overall although the colours are not as intense, after a time this photograph held more interest for longer.

Blown away H!! Loving the results!
It looks very miniature like as Rob was saying, very surreal.

Can't wait for the Cinestill to arrive :)

No way!!! Why didn't you say! :P
Didn't expect it to come that early....
I'm like a kid waiting for Christmas! :)

When can I come round?

Doesn't look very sharp in the corners Hamish, that lens is clearly dodgy and needs to be replaced with something modern and tack sharp! ;)

Has a lovely cinematic feel again - the bloom on the lights is lovely

Must get to my Cinestill - thinking sometime next year :D
