got off work early today to go shoot the most uninspiring sunset i've ever seen. [doh] but i found a pretty cool property called the vogel house that has a crazy water tower attached.

Lovely stuff Beth - that water tower looks a very interesting structure, with lots of detail possibilities as well - can you get close?

Love the 2nd and 3rd as well - especially #3 with the piles leading the eye to the power station, almost misting out on the horizon - wonderful tones

I'm seeing great possibilities for a 10 stop filter and long exposure shots for scenes 2 and 3 if you're into that kind of thing?

I love the third!
i saw the same foggy water version that Chris did I think ... I'm not sure which would be a better shot, but I'd like to see it I think :)

thanks guys. umm...no, i can't get closer...that would be wrong. esp. with the wildlife person coming down the road to lock the gate to the wildlife property. next time i'll get there earlier before closing time.

i wanted some milkier water, but left the nd filters at home. remembered the tripod for once though. actually, i think i need to get some stepping rings for my nd filters. will definitely be back to this location.

I shall look forward to that ... I found a Nikon nd 400x (or something) in a box the other day ... Might have a play if I can find a lens to fit it to

... Thinking about it they should fit on my 50mm 1.2 ... I quite like te idea of mega narrow dof in bright sunlight :) (off topic, sorry, thinking out loud)
