My first reaction when this happened was to take a couple of shots before realising I probably should rush to help him. Not sure if this showed my improved street photography instinct, or my reduced empathy...
His foot got caught by the bike chained to the railing accidentally, followed by smashing his face on the pavement.
The mannerism in which he responded to the situation was the most striking for me though. He said "that was very silly of me," and "I think I broke my tooth," in a calm and a matter of fact tone, while he was holding his broken front tooth with blood everywhere...
I did offer to help soon after and Priya offered him a tissue which he took.

Spot on Jim and you did the right thing. SHOOT first help later...I'm sure that if you asked any PJ they would tell you to tell the story, if you are hands on helping you ain't reporting!
Keep up the good work. Yo won't always be popular but you will be on here ;-)
