The original Walmart store, in Bentonville AR

X-Pro1 and 18mm Lens - PP in NIK Silver FX

The store is now a Walmart visitor center, with gifts, a cafe, and a museum.

Thanks Brian - it was such a local looking store, it's hard to imagine it spawned an empire

Also the term, "Five and Dime", is just so American. Interesting though, to see the flags of other countries used as curtains in the apartments next door.

Not sure what that's all about Brian, as the building appeared to be owned by Walmart, with the downstairs being a cafe with pastries etc.

Yes, apparently there's a virtual tour of Sam Walton's old office and a map featuring information on customers, stores, suppliers and associates from around the world. I didn't go in! :D

They've even got Mr. Sam's trusty old Ford F-150 parked out front

Yep, well restored - and they even have one for the nippers to ride in
