Way Out West

It was the 2012 Swallows' Day Parade today in San Juan Capistrano, California.

An excuse for a parade, lots of food and fun, and for everyone to dress up in their Western best :)

Yes, great set. You really excel at faces (and everything else too!). Love the smiling 49er!

What makes you choose between the 35mm or 60mm, Chris? I can't see much difference between them. Clearly my eye has more developing to do...

"you lookin at me kid" think that guy looks like he should be up against John Wayne in a shoot out at the OK Corral :D:D:D

Thanks everyone :)

Rob - it's more of a difference of approach with the two lenses

At 60mm I'm sniping the picture, without asking them first.

With the 35mm, I'm in their faces, so I'm asking if I can take their picture.

No one said no, in fact, they were all very receptive - I was being super polite and British though! :D

Allan - yep, he does have that look doesn't he. I didn't ask him for another shot, let's put it that way! ;)
