What do you mean delightful?! She crashed their first car and now she's trying to make amends by pinching a new one - she just didn't realise it was already theirs. I'd suggest that 'little tike' would be a more appropriate term. And that's being generous. There's even photographic evidence of her trying to nick a cine camera!!
