Critique Welcomed We Never Look Up Any More...

Nice image again Dougie. Love a big sky and the detail of the trees in the foreground are a good contrast to the further fields and hills. Like the size it is posted at as well.

Cheers....I'm looking for info re. posting sizes....but can't see anything...what are the rules...?

No idea on rules as to the size of posting. My own usual size is 1500 longest here, or 1250. Depends how gernerous I am feelling if someone wishes to download it :D that is when I fantasise that they may be of any value

I think it's important not to go too big so as people can take in the image in one 'hit' without having to scroll around the image, a picture's impact is lost in this way, to a certain extent.

As for the image my eye is left to wander around the scene without it having a focal point...It's good to see an old russian lens still in use like this. Is it the 1B? If so, that is a very good lens...

Thanks Paul...yes it is the 1B...VERY prone to flare with its bulbous front element, but a cracker if "hooded"...

We need to look up in this image Dougie because there is a lot going on in the sky. It is a very busy landscape below with all those fields and hedgerows etc., lots for the eye to take in. I see what Paul is saying regarding a focal point but personally I don't mind too much; I often find this to be the case with landscape photography generally. In this case, for me the focal point is the whole picture and I enjoy what I see.

I have to say that I find landscapes much to my liking when it is in colour. Here on the contrary I have to give it a second thought. Lovely image I'd say.:)
