That's what me and Greg do, I do bride, groom, bridesmaids etc, the VIP's ... Greg concentrates more on the guests
It's the only way to do it IMO, I'd be lost without an assistant now!
I used to do it alone, and did fine, but now my style has got a LOT less formal i couldn't!
I have also found a way to limit the sort of shots Greg produces to the ones I can't get, ie I shoot wide to short tele, he shoots tele! He has actualy become a very competent photographer with an 85mm lens with only limited training from me!
Tape marks and tripods eh... That's so far from my shooting style it's incredible! I suffer really badly with head aches, back problems and on a few occasions migraines at weddings! I don't stop moving, buzzing around like a fly round poo with 3kg of kit round my neck is not good for me!
Dan! stop thinking like an amature! Constructive critscism is great, really useful, take it and work on what you do! But have confidence man! Confidence shows in photography! All the weddings I do where I am comfortable and happy I take better photos! Nerves and lack of confidence/pride in your job are your worst enemy!
