Critique Welcomed Wedding Party

Please don't get so defensive when you receive a critique that's not to your liking. You posted the image online for people to see and use the prefix "critique welcomed" in the title yet apparently you only welcome critique that inflates your ego.

Chill out chap!

You have definitely misread Brians comment ... Take what he said literally! ie it literally "is what it is" ...

"not flattering" as a professional wedding picture is one thing ... a photo of a group of people being blown about in the wind is another.

When critiquing, it is important to critique on the genre I think ... this is a more a "street" photo by genre. Street photos are not supposed to flatter the subject necessarily ... And I certainly dont think that was Brians desire ... and nor, knowing Brian to the extent I do, (which admittedly is only through this place) was posting the image here anything to do with ego!

Just my 2p, and you are more than entitled to the opinion ... just watch that casting of aspersions!

I realise that it is very sad when one has to explain one's jokes but...

Aspersions -> Nasturtiums (a type of flower - cunning word play as a form of semi-malapropism - a term derived from the character of Mrs Malaprop in the stage play of Sheridans, 'The Rivals"). Morrissey (ex Smiths front man and famous 'singer') waves flowers around on stage: here we have the link to casting (as in fishing and stones rather than giving a theatrical role to a performer - don't get confused with the earlier reference to Mrs Malaprop). Usually Gladioli (a type of flower favoured by Dame Edna Everage - famous Australian personality who is actually a man - Barry Humphries, also Australian) although other species... You get the idea! ;)

Phew, I feel a bit better now! :)

Sorry Brian.

Jeeze Pete ... that was a long shot!
