What Do You All Think Of This

well it's overpriced cos it's in a charity auction and it's a one off designed by jonny ive ... it looks like my iphone and i DIG that

read this before you judge ... http://www.red.org/worldaidsday/
it may be a massive price tag, but two massive brands with massive followings getting together to create products the can be auctioned for huge amounts of money isnt a bad thing! (despite the obvious pr implications)
I also, personally have a great deal of appreciation for Sir Jonny Ive's industrial design... although, that said, it is a little blobby looking

Wtf?! Hang on....... At least £300,000 for that???
Great find though Davie.

Fair play to Sir Jonny.....

i honestly believe the guy is a design genius

absolutely!
some would say he takes a little bit out of Deiter Rams book, but to my mind if you are gonna take anything from anyone ... Rams is a good place to start!
Also, take the iphone alone ... basically the first smart phone, pretty much all have followed ... influenced, and influencer ... the guy is certainly genius!

Well, it's a good cause - and Ive is a genius

I understand they spent a fortune and tons of time just in R&D to make the thing - crazy!

According to the bbc

"
The camera took 85 days and more than 735 hours to manufacture.

During that time more than 550 models and 1,000 prototype parts were made and tested; 55 engineers worked on the process."

So I'd doubt £300,000 would cover it ... ?

It's hideous - and I hope some numpty toff with a fat wallet who would be better off photographically with a £50 point and shoot pays WAY too much for it and it earns a load of cash for a worthy cause :)

tbh, if I had money to chuck at stuff id have been tempted ... for a philanthropic gesture of an uber rich person, its not a bad object to get in return! Id probably use it too ... though from what I have read of the ASPH cron, im not sure id like the results ... ... prob put the summarit on it ...
