Thanks for the compliment. Unfortunately, that won't get you into round two. :( That's too bad, because the winner gets a ... Hmmmmmm.... What does the winner get? Oh, that's right. They get bragging rights for being the first to give a correct answer.

Now I have never heard of any camera named Olympus D 5100. That in itself should let me go on, - and I will. Detergent water waves in the kitchen sink is my guess.

No, but you were a bit closer than some others. Not in the same ballpark, but in the same country. It does have something to do with water. Ivar's guess about it being the stem of a glass also had a slight connection, because it is something that holds liquids.

No more teasing. It's a disposable plastic water bottle.

Why should one use a bottle for disposable plastic water?
You wouldn't want to dump it in the trash without being in a bottle, would you? It might get the other trash wet.

Aha, excellent stuff, John. Did you use a polariser?
No, that was sitting on the edge of my desk and lit with a 13 watt cfl. I noticed the way the light shone through it so I took a few shots of it. I think it was one of the 2700k ones that put out that really lousy greenish light that makes everything look bad. I finally got tired of it and put a daylight led bulb in my desktop lamp. It's a really bright white light. I doubt I could take the same photo with this new bulb.
