Well, that may have been fine in George Formby's time, but nowadays there's a Ladder Safety Course. I rather think that somebody hasn't been on it.

I can't get on a ladder these days without my wife standing there. I suppose I should be glad that she cares but it just makes me feel old and feeble.

@Peter Roberts. There is a small world that seems to be captured in the shallow seabed there in the top left corner, populated by starfish flags. In the bottom right-hand corner there are roots anchored in the dark ground. I like how your photos never speak over the top, but always express themselves with gentleness and harmony.

I can almost sense a light breeze wafting through the flags and I feel as if I should tell him to do be careful. I have photographed some of the commercial window washers on the high rise office towers in Dallas. I think I will keep my feet firmly planted on solid ground.
