Great find again Davie, for me being a Black and White guy I really like the first one :D:D

Paul I think the intrigue lies in what's behind it, who was the last to close it, each has a story behind them, and DD would just love to be there I'm sure :D

Colour PP one for me as well - very nice find

I thought the answer to the riddle was going to be a picture like this?

i want to open it and find woodworking tools, old leather bike saddles, pictures of a 1950's motorbike trip and bits of leatherwork

Very, very nice Davie. I like the B&W one but the colour version is my favourite by far. It shows the partial loss of paint better and has more of a feel of neglect I find.

I prefer the colour myself Pete, I've seen the style of PP before and tried to recreate it.... nearly got it :)

Cool shots. One of my old girlfriends loved any art or photo with closed or partially opened doors. Much like Kev Pugh, she said it maid her curious what was beyond the threshold.

If I had to chose, it would be the colour one. But I don't have to chose now do I.

Thanks guys :) it was mainly an experiment in PP'ing to see what could be done using the same photo ... here, btw , is the full verson

This reminded me of when I was first learning how to use a camera properly at an evening class in London. One of the first assignments he gaves us was (if I remember correctly that far back....:) ) 'corrugted iron'. It was to get us to be creative in looking for shapes and textures. I'll have to see if I've got any of the pictures I took and see how they compare to what I do now...

Which I also like very much. Maybe you could make 2 images out of it though. One as per the original and the other with the door with the 'Keep Out' sign on. Might make a nice 'symmetrical' pair. What do you think?

Hmm now I am liking the idea of that :)
