which shoulder pad?

...does anyone prefer?

I'm going to end up mounting it on a Manfrotto tripod bag, that more usually holds stands/diffusers, a couple of flash units, a body and a couple of lenses. having carried it for the best part of 90 minutes straight, I think a shoulder pad is in order.

Billingham SP50, or Domke FA1? Not sure of the Domke designation, but it looks the same as something I once had from CCS, called a Parrot Perch. before crumpler decided they would have the sole rights to silly names.

because I am carrying this bag mainly on a bicycle, I think I prefer the Billy, due to its homogeneity.....ie, not wedge shaped, but flexible enough to put wherever the weight is most pressing.

I have no experience of the Domke but two of my Billingham bags have the SP50. They seem good and I am quite sensitive to weight on my shoulders. However, I very rarely carry them far so my experience is limited. Chris is likely to have the most.

A bag woven from straw..... Let's go primitive!! :D:D:D

I like the Billingham - the foam is very comfy on the shoulder side, and grips well to prevent the bag from slipping off the shoulder.

Built to last with the leather top and brass presstuds. Easy to swap to another bag strap as needed.

Have not tried the Domke FA1 though.
