WINDOW ACROSS THE QUAY

Got tired of not seeing anyone for a few days, so popped out to take a photo. The tide was in at Mevagissey, which is picturesque on a setting sun. The Emits are in full flood, it was though a pleasant half hour spent by the sea. I took a photo of an insane looking sausage dog, I did not realise just how beautifully grotesque they look. Though the shot was not of any note I think you really need to get to their level for a good shot which is impossible. Instead I have the only other shot I took that evening of a window through a fishing vessel to the inner east Quay.

A damn fine pair, Julian. Love the view and framing of the second but it is the slightly surreal feel of the first that captivates me. I like the implied planes and the two realities that they separate.
Thanks Pete. Yes feel exactly the same and pondered about posting both. I think I wished to explain the scene and put it in context a bit more by posting both. I suggest to myself being without context along with a bit of surrealism is good

At first I preferred number two for the picture it showed of fishing village life, but on second look I think I agree with you both that the surrealistic feel of number one makes it a more compelling image. Very nice Julian.

Echo...echo...what they said. Love the first. Like the second. Really love the first!
Thank you both, great minds and all that. I also like the triplet of buoy box and bucket, which if I remember rightly was what first caught my eye.
