It was 70F and sunny Saturday afternoon but by this morning winter came. Temps dropped to 14F and my front yard looked like this:

Spring will come in 5 months.

Time to get the winter long johns on then Ralph!

You bet! Also had to hunt around for my snow shovel!

Hi Ralph,

Oh my word, horrible conditions alright! I hope you've a wood-burning-stove fitted and plenty of dried cut logs....?

I spent half the day reinstalling our wood-stove, it was originally fitted too close to the rear wall, so now it's been brought forward a good 10 inches to improve the heat output in our lounge.

It's still bright and autumnal here in Potsdam. Later this morning I head to Telč in the Czech Republic and it will be a lot colder there later in the week. No sign of snow though yet. The logs are in and ready in the UK though ready for winter and, especially, Xmas.
