Critique Welcomed Woodpecker

Seen on Monday lunchtime in Calgary. I checked out what type it is ....... no not it's not called spotted or pied ...... it's a Hairy Woodpecker ........ unbelievable !!! Of course I had the wrong lens with me (15-85 mm), so I almost needed to climb the tree to get close to it.

I don't know about your varieties, but we have both greater spotted and green woodpeckers in the garden and they are really difficult to photograph. Well done for getting such a clear shot in less than perfect circumstances
