WWII Concrete and the beach..

Huge sandy beach in the East Riding of Yorkshire. Clear blue sky day in September 2020 and lots of derelict WWII concrete still waiting for the invasion that never came.

A fine set., the expression "sands of time" comes to mind.
They do make great subjects; both a reminder of times past and the inspiration for brutalist architecture.

It certainly is brutalist Dave. Many decades ago I was putting together a panel of photographs for a local club and I titled mine 'Architecture of War' as I grew up in Lincolnshire surrounded by such examples. I would love though to visit the old examples on the coast in France near to the D Day beaches. I have seen the ones in the Channel Islands.
