x-pro 1 and voigtlander 12mm

thanks everyone.

works the same as digital ;)
Its a lot of fun .. you should give it a go! :)

works the same as digital until i try to figure out how to change the white balance, lol. or where the card goes. or increase the iso. or wonder why the card stopped recording at 24 shots instead of 2400.

Beth - wonderful shots

Color palette is very beachy, and those skies are super dramatic.

Love the perspective the 12mm lens gives on the X-Pro1 - that ball looks HUGE! :D

Have to ask, how is it for focussing/sharpness etc - and which adapter did you go for?

the ball was huge, i'd estimate 4' diameter. sharpness isn't quite as good as fuji's 35mm, but still acceptable, better than the 18mm imo. focusing, umm.. i may have forgotten to focus the first time out, couldn't really tell. by the time i visited kent island it was basically set it to infinity and forget it. the adapter was a $25 m-mount adapter i found on amazon.

12 mm lens ... I imagine it's difficult to get anything not in focus ...?

pretty much.

thanks everyone.

Put a filter on the lens, or dont bother
the card goes in the back, just make sure you pull the flappt bit out the side
change the card
change the card ...

simple ;)

Seriously though, it translates exactly for exposure (of course) and is very satisfying ...
Less worry of clipped highlights too ;)

you might have guessed I am on a mission to convert people ;)

if the card goes in the back where does the lcd screen go? can't do without my histogram, or computer... nah, i'll stick with digital.

These are lovely Beth and as has been commented on, the tones are wonderful. It is indeed a super lens although on a larger sensor / film it is demanding of composition. And with the XPro-1 you lose some of the vignetting I imagine. Great use of it though. I must fish mine out again.
