xd card not initialised

we have a problem with a fuji xd card not being initialized in a camera any ideas please? have tried formating card. thanks

hiya, nope have also tried pc then camera and to no avail. Puzzled on this one I am sure I have cured this problem before.

Does it just happen with the one xd card?
it might just have failed on you its my experience that cards dont last indefinitely ... you might just need to fork out for a new one?
what camera is it?

yep just the one card. Camera is a fuji a330 belonging to a customer

If it wont format in the camera, and wont format in the computer ... I'd just tell them to sack it off and buy a new one then!

I Googled this issue - seems to be a common 'feature' with the Fuji and XD cards

Yep ... I was never a fan really ... Now Fuji and Sony have stopped messing about other cards thankfully these propietry cards are a thing of the past
