Xp2 In Rose Street

Rob MacKillop

Edinburgh Correspondent
Took the Canon T90 to Rose Street, Edinburgh, just behind the famous Princes Street. But it was dusk - not a huge amount of light left to play with. I put the camera on auto exposure to see how it would cope. Managed to get the last Boots 'One Hour Development" before they closed.

I liked the results, but couldn't stop myself adding some Glamour Glow...

There we have it: six shots in all. Rose Street used to be a hangout for prostitutes and strippers, but has cleaned up its act these last ten years. It's still the slightly dodgy underbelly to Princes Street and the posh shops in George Street - it runs between them. There are a few alleyways running off it where you would not go voluntarily in the wee small hours. There are a lot of good bars in the street, though, and Jamie Oliver has opened a restaurant there recently.

I do like XP2 - great tones, and one hour development!

Congrats on the head from ebay. Apparently you can also buy head on Rose street from a nice lady in a short skirt but I guess you wouldn't know anything about that Rob. ;)

I like the first and the fourth the most I think the yellow lines make good lead in lines.
