Yard Work at Glashütte

We went with friends (one of which is a member of this forum) to the historic village of Glashütte in Brandenburg at the weekend. A lovely spot and very interesting, especially, of course, the historic glass works. This little arrangement beside the cafe / pottery caught my eye.

Given that it seems unlikely that Google will ever update SilverEFEX and the rest of the main Nik suite, I decided to look at the alternatives again. I've had a license for Topaz for a few years but rarely used it - Nik was just so much better - but I decided to revisit it using this image. I downloaded the latest versions of their software suite and upgraded my license and took it for whirl from LR. It has quite few semi-automated options and lacks the control I like so much in the Nik suite but, with a bit of fiddling I managed to get close to what I achieved with SilverEFEX. I'll play some more but I'm not sure it will become my tool of choice.

The first one is somewhat romantic or puts me in such a mood at least, much to its light and colour. The last version does not. Very fine image indeed Pete.
