Thanks Rob...snow doesn't bother me at all. Of course I don't have to go anywhere I can't walk to.I like it, Glenn. Love the comp and colours. Cold here, but very sunny. I can smell the snow coming, though, within the week I think.
Thanks Lesley. Now that is wonderful. Amazing shapes and colours and @Rob MacKillop ... you are wrong. We're set for more gales and downpours by Sunday. Batten down the hatches!
Thanks Pete...good thought re:abstract.Lovely stuff Glenn, love the colours again. It also makes a nice abstract when cropped - two for the price of one.
Nah...sky hooks.Ideally of course you'd shoot from directly above. Now, I reckon a couple of bits of wood, some rope and a bungee chord or two...
It's what happens with calmer sea water as it freezes Chris. It's kind of fascinating to watch. The ice is formed by the cold air vs the water temp. Slush forms on the edges and as the they bump together it pushes it up in the flatter ice.Amazing - never seen water do something quite like that
We were living in Newport RI...that happened in the Chesapeake Bay.back in the 90s the ocean froze around here, it was only abut 25-50' out from the shore but that was a pretty cool site to see.
