Hi Brian, it's quite tricky to spot on the laptop, but I see what you mean. It looks a bit like the effect you see when a filter starts to delaminate which is a bit worrying. I'm not sure what is on the front of the sensor stack of a Foveon chip. It would certainly be worth contacting Sigma about though.

As for the famous MacKillop 'lifetime' guarantee, did you check the wording on pages 67, 146 and 437 before parting with the cash?

Thanks Pete. Sigma invited me to send the camera into them. As to the McKillop Guarantee, I'm afraid I neglected to read all the fine print so I never got as far as page 67, let alone pages 146 or 437.
