    White Pocket, Arizona, USA

White Pocket is nothing short of a photographers dream. The colors and abstract formations make it something any photographer would love to shoot. From early morning until the last light, the colors change and you see new shots. Here is a photo blog that will let you experience this wonderful...

Bell and Little Wild Horse Canyons

Bell and Little Wild Horse Canyons are two very popular Utah slot canyons. While they are not the most scenic, they still have a lot to offer and are fun to explore. Both cut through a ridge of mountains called the San Rafael Reef. If this interest you, you can read and see much more in my...

    Happy Canyon, Utah, USA

Happy Canyon is one of the many "little known" canyons in Utah. It's an adventure just to visit this wonderful place. Here is a photo blog of a visit I made this spring. http://dennis-ernst-blogs.blogspot.com/2017/05/happy-canyon.html Enjoy! Dennis

    Aravaipa Canyon

Here is a photo blog of a nearby canyon that is very beautiful. It's about 45 minutes northeast of Tucson, Arizona, USA. To help protect this wonderful place there is now a permit system to try to limit the visitors a bit. This is a hike up a creek and about half of that is wading. The good...

    Blue Canyon of the Hopi

Here is a photo blog from one of the more obscure places in the Southwest. Very few people have been here and you will find limited information about it on the internet. Indeed, this is a very special place. Here is the link to the blog...

    Antelope Canyon

Antelope Canyon is the most visited slot canyon in the US. During the peak season, I was told by the Native American Guides, ,that over 2,000 people a day visit this place. That's pretty amazing in itself. This canyon is on Navajo land so you must have a permit and a Navajo guide to see it...

    Valley of Fire, Nevada, USA

I had the opportunity to visit the very first State Park in the State of Nevada recently. Although, not a large place or a well known place, it is very unique. Here is a photo blog tour of this unusual place. http://dennis-ernst-blogs.blogspot.com/2016/10/valley-of-fire-state-park-nevada.html...

    Critique Welcomed London Eye

That is a nice set! I like the simplicity of the night shot, as it isn't as busy as the day time shots. The bright colors always attract the eye and make it feel more abstract and less of an effort to replicate reality.

    Critique Welcomed The Shard

I like the first shot the best. The vertical alignment that give a better sense of scale. The plane and the moon really give it a little extra attraction to the eye.

The Subway in Zion National Park, USA

You'll have to come see the southwest sometime. That red Navajo sandstone the plant are clinging to is about 190 million years old. The mix of geology and biology make the southwest a very fascinating place.

The Subway in Zion National Park, USA

This is the last adventure from my June trip to Utah. This time I got lucky and picked up a cancelation backcountry permit to the Subway, in Zion National Park. You’ll soon see why this is such a popular and amazing place. While not an easy place to photograph, due to the sharp contrast of...

    Around Zion

Here is another look at some wonderful landscapes around the edges of Zion National Park, USA. Most visitors only see the main Canyon but there is much more to explore. http://dennis-ernst-blogs.blogspot.com/2016/06/zion-to-cedar-breaks-and-back.html Dennis
