has anyone ever attempted, tried, failed or completed at 365 all year photo challenge??

I am seriously considering it starting on Sunday with it being the first day of the new year.

1 new photo taken & uploaded daily to flickr & my website (& RPF) using the Fuji x10 no particular theme, just random image from my daily goings on

wish me luck, i WILL need it lol

All the best with that Darren. I have nether tried anything like that, not sure I would want to but it does sound interesting - A bit like A Life In A Day but in pictures.

I have considered it... there are many people on flcikr I've seen that have done it.

One of my biggest inspires to do this is a contact on flickr from Ireland called Scott MacBride, and his work is absolutley AMAZING!!! I think the most amazing thing about it is that he has all these great ideas.... everyday for a year!!

I set out two years ago and like my resolution for that year I forgot I'd set myself up for it, = FAILED not even a 2/10 for effort but I'm game for 2012. can't promise I'll stick with it mind but I'll have a go....maybe being here will encourage me more. and dare say Dan will keep nagging if he's joining in that is

So, a sobering take on the 365... Maybe I'll try a 52 instead, I probably did one this year already!

My plan this year was to take a picture of the view from the front of my house everyday for a year and turn it into a time lapse at the beginning of 2013.. we will see though. I have about 8.5 hours left to decide

Good idea Brodie - there's a photographer local to me who took a photo of every sunset for a year, and now sells a poster of all 365 shots.

I was posting every day but the holidays slowed me. (Even though I was taking more foties for this period.) I think I started in early August.

I'm in again starting Sunday!

how about if any RPF members who were game for this challenge, open 1 thread on RPF to keep the forum updated with there progress and also posted each image on a daily basis from there individual 365 into that 1 thread other members can comment as usual if they would like to. I reckon it would become a pretty long thread over 365 days though

would that be ok Hamish? maybe make it sticky?? Or maybe even have a members challenges section or simmilar

Maybe make it a progression of the "snap of a day" thread as that dwindled to nothing...
Similar idea but with more impetus to post ...
What ever you thinks best...

Ill give it a go too, but I can't promise much more than baby pictures and day to day rubbish!

There was a flickr group which did a month long challenge in October...might be worth a look to see what sort of photos they produced....
