Bought the 40D! Got a 50mm but wondering if a Tamron 17-50 Non VC would be a good buy?

Good lens ... Vignettes wide from memory but nothing that should cause any worry!

congrats on the 40d. i had one for awhile, loved it. never used the 17-50mm, so sorry, can't give any advice there..
