Just for Show A coffee too warm.

Yep, Pizza Sauce is a tomato base sauce ladled on ... mmmh ... maybe 80+% of all commercial pizzas in the USA. I know technically the difference between a pizza and a flatbread is yeast ... but personally, I like to think the dif is a pizza has pizza sauce while flatbread is sans pizza sauce. It is my understanding pizza sauce is similar to marinara, but pizza sauce is thicker to better maintain a foothold on the bread. Pizza sauce is cooked simultaneously with the pizza bread and toppings, while marinara is used more as a final topping/dipping sauce.

Gianluca, as you live in the birthplace of modern pizza, how do you and Italians in general, cook/enjoy your pizza?

One of many commercial pizza sauces available for purchase. They come in different flavors. (The above is $2.92 USD a jar on Amazon.)

Is 'pizza sauce' a real thing in the Americas
Indeed it is Gianluca. Every company that sells a prepared marinara sauce usually also has a spicier variety they call pizza sauce.

This thread seems to have strayed wildly from coffee.
