A Devastating Critique, or, Enlightenment No More

Not a person in particular, Pete. Edinburgh is often called the Athens Of The North, due to the Enlightenment movement at the time of Hume and others, which led to the New Town being built on Greco-Roman architectural principles. The fact that much of it is crumbling and neglected, in some places being reclaimed by nature, makes me think philosophically about the state of enlightenment thought here today.

That is another fine detail study, you do have a good eye for spotting the things most would miss.

You are considering enlightenment from a purely human perspective, but what of the spiders who build the webs? Maybe once the works of man have crumbled to dust, this will be the site of the wonderous Temple of Arachne.
