A new eight-legged friend

Well I guess living in Mexico it had to be this or a Chiuaua and I'm not that fond of yappy little dogs.

He's a bit skittish so actually getting him to stay put is tricky, but this time the small x100 was a blessing because I could control him with one hand and shoot with the other. I'll see how close he will let me get..........could be my last post !

Actually Chris I'm scared of most spiders, especially the big House Spiders that used to invade my home back in the UK every Winter. These are more like furry mammals and seem very good natured. I got him from a notorious market here (the Mercado Sonora) and I regard it as an animal rescue. When I have the courage I will take my camera there, but though there are some amazing shots to be had there it is a bit of a risky place in every sense. Anyway nothing ventured nothing gained so I may go back there next weekend.

It might be a she. The females are usually more docile. But either way they are usually pretty easy going. We have a lot of them in Texas.
