Holga 120N and Arista EDU 100 film that I processed in Rodinal.

I actually shot this image a couple of years ago. I did not realize at the time of shooting that the shutter was set to "bulb." (At least I thought that was the problem at the time I processed the film. I retrieved that particular Holga the other day to load it and discovered that the shutter is hanging up a bit,...so maybe that's what happened.) Anyway, I'm not unhappy with the results from this roll.

@Brian Moore ... I was snowed in yesterday and decided to go through some of my stored books looking for photography inspiration. I ran across a book on a Boston born photographer "Alvin Langdon Coburn Symbolist Photographer". It is out of print...but available at Amazon pretty cheap these days... http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0893812404/ref=oh_details_o02_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

When I was in high school in the 60's he died. My art teacher, who really turned be on to photography, had us do an essay on him and I choose this shot of Mark Twain as my primary subject. (Not in this book)

But as I researched his life I found an extremely interesting artist who was able to cross into abstraction...and symbolism. In fact...inside flap of the jacket I read " Coburn's landscapes, cityscapes, portraits, and Vortograpghs reflect his unprecedented steps towards the creation of a photography of symbol and abstraction."

As I glanced through the books many photo's...especially the landscapes...I was reminded of this shot of yours...a real "symbolic abstraction".

Glenn,...thank you so much for your comments. The serendipitous nature of our hobby continually astounds me. I made a mistake, and it turns out good! I feel honored (and lucky). By the way I have just ordered the book from Amazon. Thanks again, Glenn! :)
