Abandoned Coastline

Paul...Interesting scene. I love the colors on the rocks.
I have to ask...it that a faded ocean mural on the front...or just the concrete aging?

I think the pattern is just worn concrete Glenn but now that you mention it it does look like some sort of scene. This place is close to the old fort at Brixham. The fort is to the right on top of the cliffs (way out of sight)

Thanks Pete, It may have been a battery, there are quite a few not far away on the other side of Brixham. Brixham was one of the D day deportation sites in the UK and there was extensive batteries in Brixham and Torquay making up a crossfire zone. I am no expert BTW, I just wondered into the local WWII museum and the chap told me all about it. Quite a goo place actually, free to get in (just a voluntary donation) and you can pick all the guns, shells, etc., up. I did manage to resist the urge to run about shouting DAKA DAKA DAKA.

Had a look on google earth...There's an ap on there 'defence of Britain' which shows all the pill boxes & coastal defenses.
Couldn't see it on there, but not sure exactly where it is. Handy ap though & worth a look

Cool location Paul - that sounds like a good App Richard, will take a look

Thanks, the building looked more like it was partially built and now that I think of it didn't seem to have any rooms that would have been large enough for artillery. Location wise if you travel east out of Brixham, past the outdoor swimming pool, down Berry Head there is a small peninsular with an old fort and a small lighthouse. about 200 yards north of the fort is this building.
