After some trouble...

I am able to log in! Thanks to Hamish, thanks a lot!!!

I am Rense Haveman, an amateur photographer from the Netherlands, 43 (or so, I lost track a little...) years old. Biologist by training and payroll, and shooting dSLR (Pentax), analogue medium format (Pentax and Yashica), analogue rangefinders from the former SU, and of course every now and then with my cell-phone. Street, landscape, macro, abstracts, that would be my photographic DNA-fingerprint, I would say....

Thank you Pete! I am a vegetation scientist/phytosociologist, working for the Dutch ministry of Defence: vegetation mapping, monitoring etc. Especially interested in apomicts: Rubus (brambles), and Hieracium (hawkweeds).

So, a complicated person, I guess....

Interesting Rense. Vegetation mapping - I think I can see why that could be of use for monitoring but have never come across it before except in archeology. I'm a microbiologist specialising in industrial applications (IMSL Director).
