I don't do any film photography myself so I've never looked into film scanner prices or anything like that but I thought I'd let anyone know that may be interested that Aldi are getting a film/photo scanner in next week.

Thanks Glen. Looks so easy to use, stand alone, (& affordable), i shall mention it to the family.
I had seen just negative & slide scanner, this is the first i have seen with photograph scanner as well. Most of the family photos are 4x6, 5x7 this will be ideal.

5MP is plenty, even the latest LED, LCD tvs are only just about 2MP, Dells highest res LCD monitor 4MP (2560x1600), Apple Retina 4MP & 5MP.
