Here are a couple of jazz event images taken during the summer of 2017 at a venue local to me. I have tried to give them a grainy film type look but I don't think it has worked however I love the musicians expressions. I love this kind of photography, it enables me to do something I find so easy.

As you say, the expressions are great, but the grain effect is less convincing.
