I first heard of anti crop a while back and avidy looked forward to it's arrival.
The Idea was fresh and was a tool that would fit very nicely in my iphoneography folder as nothing Like it ( that I'm aware of ) was on the app Market.
The premis of the app Is "anti crop" take an image and make it whatever size you wish. It is effectively a clever automatic cloning tool that gives you extra photograph on to your original pic if you where lacking it for that perfect placement of framing. Sounds genius.
I feel the only way to really show it off is with a few images.
Take this original shot for instance
Same pic in app
So I add a more by simply pulling the box to my desired width and height the app also allows you to select standard sized boxes such as 6x9 and fills in the blanks.
Make it a bit bigger and you can see it creating more image in front of your eyes.
Extra big full capacity
Original again
Anti cropped version
As you can see it reproduces information from the original picture but it is some what hit and miss. That is really my only gripe. for me it lacks a bit of user editing. Cloning is great but as we all know distinctive patterns that are repeated gives you an unwanted eye catching repetitive shape on the image.
That said that's me maxing out the full capability of the app I think the beauty lies in being able to level a shot with out loss of size to the picture. subtle edits cannot usually be picked up on also take into consideration solid background colour Is easily anti cropped.
For example.
Original portrait James
Anticrop Landscape James
Bits that didn't exist now transforming a picture
Some more examples
Original square crop
16x9 anti crop

Original alex
Anti cropped alex
In conclusion, a brilliantly designed smooth user-friendly interface . An app that utilised in the right circumstances can really enhance if not save a shot and not to mention a great bit of fun to boot. As said,i would love a spot editing tool to mix up repetitive patterns. Maybe even being able to select the area you want cloned would be a great step. A must for your iPhone if you ask me!
