As I said before, I developed quite a relationship with this herd while I was on Curbar Edge. What I hadn't realised when I parked the car, was that the cow I so eagerly photographed over the stone wall was actually ON the edge. Once I'd gone through the little kissing gate, we were free to mingle. Of course, nobody else bothered. I had read a blog from a local photographer who said those on Baslow (presumably the same herd) were "skittish".

Now I like cows and I've worked with them in the past, so I was more than happy to go over and make friends. Some of them got a tad too friendly, but I haven't got around to processing those yet. This one was very close with the lens at 28mm
