Spring is finally coming to the Rocky Mountain Front in North Central Montana. The aspen buds are beginning to swell and a red squirrel looks to be having a feast.

A great time to be a squirrel! Very nice shot, Ralph. Great to see a red squirrel - the only ones I see now are grey.

Nice Ralph, it's like a mix of wildlife photography and street photography but with squirrels and trees, and no streets, or urbanisation but I think you get the picture.

I kinda wish I had shot this with a wider aperture to better separate the aspen branches from the background.
The aspen was on my side of a big creek and the background trees were on the opposite side.

I like that you can make out the trees in the distance and think that if they were too out of focus you might lose the connection.
