As Hamish suggested, I'm going to do a proper shoot-out, two cameras side by side, one PanF, one Digital, swap lenses between them on the same scene - compare results.

This shot isn't really a fair test as it was a different day/time.

I'll also test yellow filter on/off to see how that impacts the look.

Better get my lab coat out - looks like I have an experiment to do! :D

Beautiful shots Chris. The B&W film shots are inspiring me to pull out my old Pentax. I've done a bit of travelling in the past few years, but I have yet to get to California. Someday....sigh. The sunset ice-plant shots have a nice warm feeling...especially considering they're digital.

Thanks Chris - I hadn't touched film in over 10 years before Hamish got us all on a vintage trip this last year - now I'm knee deep in old cameras and negatives! :D

Don't forget to make it double blind Chris!! We'll accept nothing less. :)

Pete - I was thinking about using a range of memory cards on the 5D2, so people could decide which brands gave the sharpest focus and best colour depth... :D

Nice Chris, love misty view in #2 and the cliff shot in #4, the flying seagull and man with plastic bag add lots of interests :).
