Sorry for such a weird bunch of images in search of a theme...it's been that kind of day...

Here is an unremarkable image. However, the story is more interesting than the photo. See the bent gas pipe? I smashed my car into that, some 15 years ago. I passed my driving test one week before, and that was one day before Rhona was born. I passed my test in time to bring her home from the hospital - at 15 miles an hour all the way. Fast forward a week - a week of sleepless nights - and I had a concert in Linlithgow, about 15 miles from Edinburgh. After the gig, I, in complete exhaustion, revved up the engine, and suddenly the car lunged forward and hit the wall. The old lady came out, and was very nice. Offered me tea. But I thought I'd better get home as soon as possible. Today was the first time I returned to the scene, and was surprised to see the pipe as I left it. They don't make pipes like they used to...

It has been a uniformly dull grey sky day...

The angles are nuts Rob - is that door really at an angle?

Great story BTW - probably been slowly leaking gas all this time! :D

Nice back story on the bent pipe. I love the simple honesty some people live their lives by. You bend her gas pipe and knock the door and windae of her hoose off kilter. In return, she offers you a cup of tea. Lovely!

I also love the Castle Wall, Rob.
