I was born and grew up in Lincolnshire UK. From my earliest days I remember the old airfield not far from home and it's haunting presence, a presence that was always there. A feeling deep inside that would not go away. I knew then, when I started photography at the age of ten that this presence would infiltrate my photographs. I didn't realise though that fifty five years later I still wouldn't be able to shake it off.
Nikon D600 with a Nikon 28-70mm f2.8 zoom and a Nikon 135mm f2 AFDC. ISO was 100 and aperture was f2.8 in both cases.
It is like a dark, brooding shadow that lurks within your soul. It creeps around the corners of your mind like black paint within a pallet of bright colours. It gives one a feeling of "oh well" with a sigh and a shrug of the shoulders. I never want to leave this place.
Apologies for being a bit too honest.
