The shape is white and black, no mistake, with white taking the role of defining the form of this car. Black only helps filling in the remainder of the imagination needed.

I wonder, did you get so much contrast? Developing... or after scanning? Really curious if you can do that in the analogue realm.

That was done by developing time alteration and (very fine) adjustment in Photofiltre application. I would be curious as well to see a real print of this, but as I do not have a wet darkroom, fat chance for this to happen .
