Before And After

I'm still amazed by this HDR processing capability. You've seen the After image, but look how awful the Before image is - one I would normally have dumped. It is the centre shot of a 3-shot auto exposure bracket.

That is an impressive transformation Rob. And even though the final result is so striking, it is subtle too.

Well, it could have been more subtle, but I'm just testing the parameters - this one was quite subtle compared to the extreme settings! At least I now have an idea of how people create the other-worldly images I see on 500px...

I think it actually looks more like clever lighting than HDR Rob. Very effective.

I don't think you have over processed this. Looks wonderful.
I would of never of known it'd be a HDR photo Rob. Not compared to the 'over processed' generic HDR shots that everyone one has the impression of which looks awful.... This on the other hand, is pleasant and tranquil to look at.... Makes me wish I was there!

Yes, Chris. Three raw files bracketed for different exposures. Auld Nik is devilishly good.
