Beware this bush!! Or is it a tree? Whatever, beware! I just brushed past it yesterday in the botanics gardens, and it showered me in white dust, seeds presumably, all over my head and back, even some on my camera. It was difficult to get it all off. Grrr. What's it called? I couldn't see a label.

Looks like some sort of Yew, and that'll be pollen. All you need to do now is rub up against a female Yew - make sure you get that right though, we're not bailing you out.

You should be careful with the pollen though, Rob. In some species it is quite toxic and especially so if you suffer from asthma (which I know you do).
