Big BIG problem! :(

I was doing a profile shoot for a client, and then I started noticing big thick black lines across the pictures. I thought it was the lens for a second, then I feared the worst.......
The shutter is jammed/dead! The shoot had to cease immediately if course.

Any ideas anyone?

Now there's some dust on the sensor after some prolonged viewing.... But that's the least of my problems :(:(

You have tried jabbing at it with the shutter open ... ?
hmm, doesn't look happy ... I wouldn't like to guess a price for a fix ...
Take it into LCE... Take to Garath (beard) se what he says

Yeah, had a jab and that, not playing ball :(
I'll take it to Gareth like you said, maybe steer myself into another camera. Lol

Hmm ... I'm not sure what you are supposed to buy as a Olympus dslr shooter ... They only make the e5 now I think...?
maybe time to do something drastic?

Stick with the Olympus OM-D you will not be dissapointed, as a Canon user selling the gear, If I could I would swop straight away, might even still be on the cards to.
Have got results off the Oly that will match any DSLR on the market from the 2 big names if not better.

It is.... But maybe an adapter could accommodate my lenses :).... However, only OM like my 1.4 50mm and 24mm 2.8.
But, the question is..... Is that worth it? I have an 8mm 4/3 fisheye, kit lens, and tele zoom to use for it too.
In all honesty, out of everything I DON'T want to get rid of is the 50mm 1.4.. I got that in prestine condition with an OM10 for 50ish sheets! :) I love that peice of glass.
To sell my lenses I'd need to make it worth while and have to chuck in a good one of the bunch.

Ran that past me again Dan...
Knowing your past desire for wide angle lenses, maybe some consideration would be toward something with a larger sensor?

I know!!
It's like having your first banger, you want to put a turbo or bigger engine in it, but you know it just doesn't work that way.
Sentimentality is what is holding me on to this useless piece of ****!! Bit a still will not get shot of my nifty fifty! :D:D

Okay okay, an upgrade is definitely what's needed. And on all honesty I have always been interested in what Tom's got ..... D7000.... However, as I have my third child on route in a few weeks time, I'm going to find it very difficult to pluck the finances for the camera too ,'/ as well as facing a possibility of losing my job..... Things are not the best these days :(

What about the route that Davie took?

I have debated that, thinking of getting midrange canikon.... Or a nikanon.
My only concern is that I have a fair bit of stuff for the Oly in regards to lenses and a flash.... And a trigger :(
Probably sell all and invest in midrange DSLR?
OR, pick up an Oly e-30 or e-5.... Dog Dam it!!!! I don't know :(

<cough>Fuji<cough> :D
