Bird on a Wire

Took this last year sometime in Seal Beach, California. Saw these birds up there and liked how they looked,...snapped a fotie.

Used my friend's Canon IVsb and Tri-X film.

Very nice Brian. I don't usually do this but I could see a crop in here maybe a 9x16 so I had a go but it just didn't seem to work . I Really like this we have had the convo before on here but the clouds do set the mood for an eerie touch almost like its out of hitchcocks film the birds.

I agree with Dan, Very simple but fantastically effective composition and tonally, just right. I love the way the 'main bird' is looking off the the right - sort of, "I don't care if the rest of you want to sit over there. See if I care"!

Could also be "Gulls on a Post" since both posts have a gull sitting on them. Or maybe a "Light Bird."

Anyway you name it's an interesting photo.

Dan, Pete and Ralph,...thank you. Funny about this,...as I said above I liked the look of this and snapped it. And each time I have looked at it since I liked it just as I had when I saw it originally. But I never thought to post it since I thought it would likely appeal just to me alone.

Goes to show (again) how frail our own assessments can sometimes be.
