Critique Welcomed Boats

Saw these bobbing around on the Thames recently, and after a bit of processing was quite pleased with the outcome.

I like the texture of the water Dave. Looks oily.
Did you think about cropping to the right of the pole and making it a square crop? I did it with my hand and thought it may be interesting.

Followed your directions with my hand as well and really like the outcome. I do like the fluidness of the water and the lines of the boats.

I also like the oily water. If I was going to crop though I think I'd lose some from the right to contain the boats in the frame more if you see what I mean.
