Critique Welcomed Bookworm

Having rescued an Olympus XA2 from a charity shop I've just tested it taking advantage of its small, unobtrusive size to practise the hit and miss technique of shooting from the hip. More misses than hits but I was particulary pleased that this shot worked more or less as I hoped.

That strikes me as a "decisive moment" kind of shot. Good timing, Peter. And congrats on getting an XA2. Fine little camera.

Thanks for that , Brian. I so wanted that shot to work.
And yes, the XA2 seems to be an extremely capable little thing.

A agree. Perfectly times and I like very much the lighting on the books.
Thanks, Pete.
I did wonder afterwards whether the strip lighting would cause flare or bleach out the top right hand corner. As it was the sunlight coming through the window behind me cancelled its effect.
